Our lawyers have extensive experience in applying the provisions of the GDPR, conducting audits in terms of the implementation of personal data protection rules in organizational units (public and private ones), preparation of documentation in the field of data protection and current operations of the unit with the use of data protection documents.
Rapid technical progress and globalization have brought new challenges in the field of personal data protection. The scale of collection and exchange of personal data has increased significantly. Thanks to technology, both private enterprises and public authorities can use personal data in their activity on an unprecedented scale. Individuals are increasingly making personal information available to the public and globally.
To ensure a high and consistent level of protection for individuals and remove obstacles to the flow of personal data within the Union, the European legislator has decided to create an equivalent level of protection of the rights and freedoms of individuals in all Member States in relation to the processing of such data. In order to ensure consistent and uniform application of the regulations on the protection of individuals’ fundamental rights and freedom in relation to the processing of personal data, a decision was made to harmonize the law (in the place of initial harmonization) by adopting a new regulation of the European Parliament and the Council (known colloquially in Poland as RODO or GDPR.)
Our law firm has extensive experience in carrying out complex audits of organizational units in terms of implementation of the provisions of the RODO Regulation. We prepared a set of sometimes extremely complicated documents regarding data protection. The law firm was running training courses in data protection, including GDPR. We will advise our clients how to prepare a proper data protection policy, so-called PIA, how to choose and report so-called IOD and how to react to the crisis related to data protection. We also conduct one of the first in Poland proceedings regarding a compensation due to a breach of the GDPR.
